Notburga Chapel

Sightseeing

At 1,483 metres above sea level, the Notburga Chapel is the highest memorial place in Wiesing. From here, visitors have a wonderful view of the Inntal valley. According to history, the chapel once belonged to Eben, but was then sold and the money used to renovate the church and to buy windows for the Eben church. In 2003, the Biechl family, owners of the Astenau Alpe, converted the wayside shrine into the Notburga Chapel with the help of many volunteers.
