Achensee Xtreme 2012

Spring-time weather at this year‘s Achensee Xtreme made the athletes break into a sweat and really drew in the crowds. In sunshine and high temperatures around 100 participants battled at a quick pace up into the Rofan mountains. In the end Josef Rottmoser from BSV Reichenhall/Germany came out ahead of the reigning Austrian champion Alexander Fasser. With his compelling performance Fasser was once again crowned Austrian and overall Tyrol Champion in the ski mountaineering event, while in the amateur section young Jakob Siedler posted a victory.
