Edelbrennerei Kostenzer in Maurach, Achensee has for many years manufactured fine brandies, schnapps and also the new Alpine Whisky. Franz Kostenzer has already received many awards for his top quality products, including the title “Schnapps distiller of the year 2008″.

TIPP: Achenseer beer

Since December 2010 in Langlaufstüberl in Pertisau, at the entrance to the Karwendel valleys, naturally cloudy beer has been produced in the first brewery in Achensee. The varieties include ‘Achensee Bier Hell’ and ‘Achensee Weizen’ as well as seasonal beers. Guided tours of the brewery as well as tasting are possible by arrangement.
